I’m 5 foot 3, 125 pounds, and the small size fits me well. I would have preferred it to be slightly smaller, but it’s close enough. There are not many heated jackets or vests that have heating on the chest area and front pocket with heating. These were the features that I purchased this vest for. I usually use the medium heating setting and it’s sufficiently warm in the chest and pockets. I agree with another review that this attracts lint. I was able to wash off the lint by removing the battery, then cold washing by machine, then tumble dry on low heat. R.Ave R.20-01-2024Amazing for the harsh winter this year!The heated vest is a brilliant idea! This is probably my mistake, but I ordered a medium and it runs quite a bit large for me. I did not consider that this could be a medium for men. I am 135 lbs 5’7” female and this is just hanging on me without any support lol, it’s especially large around the shoulders. I am using it as a heated blanket though, so it is still very useful. Wish I ordered a small instead. Otherwise, the fabric is of great quality. It does attract lint a bit, but well, you are not going to use it as a heated blanket like me, so that should be fine. The batteries last quite a long and charge fast. I am not sure if I would be comfortable with the weight of the battery while walking outside, but it should be bearable if it keeps me warm. PROS
– Sherpa lining: The entire inside is not lined with sherpa but enough that you feel all of it one your neck. The outside hand pockets are also lined with the material and feels very nice.
– Nice heating: The heating works really well, especially with an extra layer outside. I have no complaints about strength, even when it is the outside layer.
– Pockets: There are sherpa lined outside hand pockets, a zippered outside pocket on the chest and a zippered inside pocket on the chest. Then there is a pocket for the battery pack. There are a nice number of options.
– Battery pack: The battery pack that comes with the vest is great so far. It has extra ports for charging other devices. It also has an LED display to show how much battery is left in percentage points.
– Great button: The button to turn on/off the vest or control the levels is great. It’s a regular button but I especially like that the level indicator (red, white, blue) is only an outline of light around the button instead of a button that lets out a lot of light. I’m often outside when it’s dark and would rather the buttons not be too bright. For me, that is a positive.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this vest. It applies to my situation specifically but I sometimes go into buildings that do not allow USB devices. The vest uses a circular power port instead of USB so I can simply disconnect the battery pack and keep my vest on. No complaints with this vest.
