It kept me warm sitting in a blind for 4-6 hours at a time. Can’t speak to battery life yet because it was never out of a charge. I did start each day with a full battery. The vest has three heat zones which are easy to control. The vest heats as advertised. I use it in Wisconsin to extend my season on the patio with a cocktail. I find it is most effective if worn as the second layer. As the weather gets colder I will need to supplement with long underwear or some lined pants. Make sure your vest comes with the battery as this one does so you can correctly compare prices. It is a good looking vest and has extra pockets.
