I would have thought that the battery would not last long because of this, but the battery life is not too bad. I’ve been able to get a minimum of six hours on low and just under four hours on high.
Of all the heating zones on this vest, I think the area around the neck is the most noteable for me. The heat around the exposed neck really warms me up. The biggest and only issue I have with this vest is the branding on the chest. The one button touch control located on the left chest works by a 3 second touch to turn it on. It will illuminate red on and off for 5 minutes as a warm up sequence. You can change heat output by depressing the button for one second which will give you high (illuminated red) medium (illuminated white) and low illuminated blue). With the extended battery you can get up to 12 hours of heat output. The battery shows level of charge with 4 light bars. It heats up fast and is quite deliciously warm, including in the pockets and the back of the collar. I just wish this vest had some premium features, like an interior pocket or exterior chest pocket, fleece lining for the collar, fleece lining for the jacket or zone heating.
